Yesterday (6th) marked the one-year anniversary of the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. The British royal family is celebrating this occasion.

The event was held in London at Westminster Abbey. A video surfaced showing that Prince Harry had very little to no screen time. This is unusual, considering that the monarch’s younger son and Princess Diana’s son has not had an official role in the royal family since 2020 and has not worked in the royal household. Many see this as a clear snub to the Prince, who has fallen out of favor, largely due to his wife.

People enjoyed his role in the movie. When Charles III was crowned last year, Prince Harry spent only 28 hours in the UK. He is remembered for walking into Westminster Abbey alone, and during the service, a large candle obscured his view, possibly by accident.

The candle incident occurred at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in London in 2022. Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s wife, who was absent from the coronation, was also obscured by the candle that day. This incident is often cited as a reason for her absence. According to The Daily Mail, the film celebrating the coronation features a new song by Simon Armitage titled “Uninvited Guest.”

The 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which Prince Harry supports, will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 8. Prince Harry will attend, but Meghan Markle will not be present. Instead, she will join him later in Nigeria for an event inspired by the competition.

It is rumored that Meghan Markle did not attend due to past family issues and her unpopularity in Britain. Another possible reason is to avoid controversy and additional attention, especially since the royal family is already facing challenges with the monarch battling cancer (having recently resumed public duties) and Kate Middleton being unwell.

According to The Mirror, even Kate and Prince William invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to visit London with their children, Archie Harrison (who turns five today) and Lilibet Diana, as they hadn’t seen them in a long time. This missed opportunity for reconciliation leaves many hoping for Harry’s eventual return home.
